Question: What is a FAQ?

Answer: FAQ is an acronym for Frequently Asked Questions. Within the vast amounts of information on the Internet, FAQs are the sources of answers to common inquiries on many topics. Most newsgroup on the Usenet include FAQs to quickly bring new users up to speed and to avoid the frequent reposting of common questions.

Black's FAQs appeared as a column in Cyberspace Lawyer, a monthly newsletter published by Glasser Legal Works. Black is a partner at the Perkins Coie LLP law firm, where he heads the Bay Area Offices of the firm's Technology Business Group.
